Akiko Mico Mikabe, CMT

With 15 years of experience as a professional massage therapist, I blend traditional Japanese techniques learned in my home country with extensive training in Integrative Psycho-Structural Balancing from my studies in Culver City.

My approach to massage therapy began with early exposure to traditional Japanese bodywork, including Shiatsu, which I experienced firsthand at traditional hot springs. These experiences and my formal training have shaped my unique therapeutic approach.

Born and raised in Japan but now based in Los Angeles, I bring a global perspective to my practice. My background in client relations, developed through years of working as a production manager in television and fashion, has honed my ability to listen carefully and adapt to each client's specific needs. This attention to detail and commitment to client care remains central to my massage practice.

My passion for continuous learning and personal growth keeps my practice fresh and evolving. Just as I seek out new experiences in my personal life—from exploring different cultures to pursuing outdoor adventures—I consistently work to enhance my massage techniques and understanding of bodywork to serve my clients better.

Effective massage therapy requires technical skill and genuine care for clients' well-being. My journey from those early days of practicing on my father's back to becoming a professional therapist has taught me the profound impact that therapeutic touch can have on both body and mind.
